Mining Vehicles
In Nov - Dec 2003 we fitted manually operated handrails to Underground Mining Vehicles for North Parkes Mine in Parkes NSW.
These rails are used to provide a safe area when the vehicles are serviced.
Shipping
In Nov 2003 we fitted a pneumatic collapsible handrail to the gangplank of the Iron Chieftain in the Singapore shipyards.
The existing handrail was already collapsible but required 2 to 3 men to wrestle it up and down while overhanging the edge of the ship
20 metres above the dock or open ocean. We left 99% of the existing handrail in place and modified it for pneumatic operation.
